i have hair everywhere, yes everywhere. i don't go to beauty salon it costs too much. i wax every two weeks, i do it by myself. i want to buy an epilator but i just wanna ask is there anything we can do to reduce the noise?
yeah the ones you that are further in the skin are horrible. oh and about the pain, dont worry, i've used it so much now that the pain is bearable. its like i dont even feel the pain anymore.
yeah, ingrown hairs are a bitch... I heard there are some creams that help fight them but I can't tell you if it really works. It's good that you can take them out, there are some people who can't because they're not on the surface and can't be seen. In this case you have to go to the doctor because it can become infected. I fortunatelly rarely have ingrown hairs and I'm really grateful for that. In exchange I have a loooot of hair and it's dark so it's kind of a pain to epilate XD
on the box of my epilator, it says not to, but you can just pluck the ones or if its on your face, like more of a masculine facial hair on women, try nair. though personally, nair/veet never worked for me.
thanks so much, that really supported me, because my mom gave me this oil from my country called "jomelop" and aloe to soothe my legs too haha, and it really helps, the redness goes down quicker than it would with just lotion. because if i dont treat my legs after i epilate, the redness is there for like a few days :T and i accepted that there really isnt any way to get rid of ingrown hairs, except to go one by one and take them out with a needle or tweezers (at least for me)..
I personally take a bath and exfoliate then I use the epilator. After I used it, I use some disifectant and let it dry real good before using a stick deodorant (or how the hell are these called XD) or for the legs, some cream that helps soothe the pain (is not too much but if I don't do this then I feel it for a while because, you know, during the day you sweat and all that). This works well for me. :)
use an after epilation cream. i got one on amazon and it may seem pricey but it really helped :o i epilated for the first time yesterday and although i got red bumps, the cream soothed my legs and they all disappeared after i woke up.. pop an aspirin in also before you epilate if you have a low pain threshold..
im deciding to get the light caress, but there is corded and cordless. corded is 20 dollars cheaper than the cordless, and i was wondering if you could help me decide which one i should get. should i spend $20 more for the cordless? would it be worth it?
please ladies stick to shaving...i used to epilate my legs and everything and now my ankles have patches of ingrown hairs that turned into rash looking scars its terrible. even the derm couldnt fix it...
Oopsies! My bad, i meant i've been using the epilator since january. and because of the bumps from the epilator, i thought i could try veet/nair. I've used nair once a while back for my bikini area and it didn't work, so i thought maybe i'll try another type for my legs. But you may be right, I probably do have sensitive skin. :(
Thanks, because i've been using it since like January and i keep getting scars....like red marks, i thought i was using it wrong. i guess its just all the ingrown hairs :
I hear that these hurt a lot, but your video convinced me that it doesn't! How long have you been using it?
ReplyDeleteI just recently got mines off eBay. Used it for the first time today. Hurted for a quick 5 seconds then it's all fine.

ReplyDeletenot all of them can be used in the shower. Lately came out the Braun one which I heard is very good.

ReplyDeleteYou're supposed to exfoliate to avoid ingrown hairs >3<
ReplyDeleteCan you use the epilator in the shower?
ReplyDeleteYou obviously were doing it wrong then...

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't recommend using it on your face.
ReplyDeleteIt's too harsh.
